In June 2024, the team of “Biologists of Albania” monitored two types of crabs within the project “Population status assessment of the globally threatened crayfish Astacus astacus and Austropotamobius torrentium in the lakes of Prespa, Ohrid and rivers of the Shebenik – Jabllanice National Park, Albania” in the lakes of Prespa, Ohrid as well as the two rivers of the Shebenik National Park area – Jabllanice, Qarrishtë and Rapuni. The presence and distribution of species in the coastal and river areas was investigated using the baited trap method. Habitats and water parameters were also evaluated for changes from the last sampling. Lobster individuals were found in both lakes and in relatively greater numbers than in previous seasons. The presence of crayfish species was not observed in any of the monitored river stations.
Në muajin Qershor 2024 nga ana e ekipit të ‘Biologëve të Shqipërisë” u krye monitorimi i dy llojeve të gaforreve në kuadër të projektit “Population status assessment of the globally threatened crayfish Astacus astacus and Austropotamobius torrentium in the lakes of Prespa, Ohrid and rivers of the Shebenik – Jabllanice National Park, Albania” në liqenet e Prespës, Ohrit si dhe dy lumenjtë e zonës së Parkut Kombëtar Shebenik -Jabllanicë, Qarrishtë dhe Rapuni. Me anë të metodës me kurthe me karrem u kërkua për prezenncën dhe shpërndarjen e llojeve ne pjesën bregliqenore dhe të lumenjve. Po ashtu u vlerësuan dhe habitatet si dhe parametrat e ujit për ndryshime nga kampionimi i fundit. U konstatuan individë të karavidheve në të dy liqenet dhe në numër relativisht më të madh sesa në stinët e kaluara. Në asnjë nga stacionet e monitoruara të lumenjve nuk u vunë re prani e llojeve të karavidheve.
