In July 2024, the project team on the monitoring of both species of freshwater Crayfish, Astacus astacus and Austropotamobium torrentium, successfully carried out the next sampling in the area of Lake Prespa e Madhe, Ohrid, as well as in two rivers of the National Park of Shebenik – Jablanica (Rapuni and Qarrishta). At the same time as the sampling with baited traps, the assessment of the habitat was carried out as well as the measurement of seasonal physico-chemical parameters at the stations of the above water bodies. The target crayfish continues to be found in the lakes with a larger number of individuals collected.
As part of the process was the scientific training and assistance of the Master of Science student of the Department of Biology, UV for the realization of the diploma thesis about the study of these two types of crayfish. The diploma was successfully concluded, meanwhile its presentation was finally realized.
In this month it was also planned to draw up a standard Monitoring Manual about the study of Crayfish. This manual was delivered to the representatives of the Protected Areas Administrate after conducting their training directly in the field for the monitoring process.
Në muajin Korrik 2024, ekipi i projektit mbi monitorimin e të dy llojeve të gaforreve të ujrave të ëmbla, Astacus astacus dhe Austropotamobium torrentium realizoi me sukses kampionimin e radhës në zonën e Liqenit të Prespës së Madhe, Ohrit si dhe në 2 lumenj të parkut Kombëtar të Shebenik –Jabllanicë ( Rapuni dhe Qarrishta). Në të njëjtën kohë me kampionimin me kurthet me karrem u realizua vlerësimi i habitatit si dhe matja e parametrave fiziko- kimikë stinorë në stacionet e trupave ujorë të mësipërm. Në liqene vijon të konstatohen gaforre e synuara tashmë me një numër më të madh individësh të koleksionuar.
Si pjesë e procesit ishte trajnimi shkencor dhe asistenca e studentit të Masterit Shkencor të Departamentit të Biologjisë, UV pwr realizimin e temës rreth studimit të këtyre dy llojeve tw karavidheve. Tema u përmbyll me sukses ku në fund u realizua dhe mbrojtja e saj.
Në këtë muaj ishte planifikuar dhe hartimi i një manuali monitorimi standard rreth studimit të karavidheve. Ky manual u dorëzua tek përfaqësues të Administratws së Zonave Mbrojtura pas kryerjes së trajnimit të tyre drejtpërdrejt në terren për procesin e monitorimin.
